Your team members often have a better understanding of what's going on in your company, where your product or service is weak, and how your customers are truly feeling. But frequently, employees do not communicate this kind of information to managers and leaders for a variety of reasons.
Anonymity allows employees to be completely honest without worrying about the their name being attached. This is a powerful feature that can deliver some of the most critical and insightful suggestions.
How it works
Whenever you make a suggestion or comment on a suggestion, there's a button that allows you to switch into anonymous mode. With a single click or tap, you can switch between making a post under your name or making it anonymously.
Moderating anonymous posts
When an anonymous post is made, it's held in a private queue for approval. An actual human reads and approves each anonymous suggestion or comment before it is made public. We do this to prevent abusive or inappropriate content from being seen by others.
Will it be abused?
We invested time and energy building a sophsticated moderation system for anonymous posts. We thought that while most employees would use anonymity appropriately, there might be a few rogue users who would test the system. However, so far, we have not seen a single inappropriate or abusive anonymous post. People have overwhelmingly embraced anonymity in a positive manner.
